Texas Department of Transportation Child Passenger Safety Campaign 2012
On average only half of Texas children are buckled up, and of those that are restrained, many are not in the proper safety seat for their height and weight. The goal of the passenger safety campaign was to educate parents on the importance using child safety seats. It featured children asking their parent to “Save Me With a Seat” and was part of an integrated campaign including TV spots, radio commercials, outdoor billboards, mall kiosk ads, online banner ads, mall food court tray liner ads, and car window shades. The campaign resulted in expanded education, awareness, and community engagement, reducing the number of unrestrained child deaths YOY.
